Experience
I'm a resident of Texas who loves history and traveling. Medieval history is my passion. I have a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas A&M University, with a minor in English. I also have a teaching certification from the state of Texas, which I earned at the University of Texas. My teaching experience began in Germany, at Big Bend Community College. There, I helped soldiers finish their secondary school educations or get promoted by helping them attain higher scores on standardized Army tests. More recently, I have been teaching classes at the high school level to home-schooled students at two different locations around Houston through a nonprofit organization called PREP. These classes supplement what the students' parents feel comfortable teaching them at home. I have four children, all of whom I have home-schooled myself. I'm proud to say that they have all gone on to Texas A&M after they graduated from high school. I love to teach history, writing, and literature.Most of my time is spent teaching and taking care of my family. In my free time, I love reading, playing video games, researching genealogy, and football. I have also enjoyed the good fortune of making a number of trips to Europe in the past few years.
