I have been providing customized, one-on-one test prep for students in Cypress, Spring, The Woodlands, and Tomball for five years. A grammar nerd, book worm, and former freelance writer, I specialize in helping students succeed on the Reading and Writing sections of the ACT and SAT. I have been successful in helping math- and science-inclined students understand the nuances of the tests' critical reading, grammar, and essay writing through clear test strategies and skill development. My approach is practical and effective, as well as nurturing and supportive. A former homeschooling mom (my girls are now in college), I taught English and Social Studies to homeschooling students in all grades for over ten years. I am experienced and skilled in working with all grades, ages, and learning styles. I love introducing reading and writing to young people. I love teaching because I love learning.
