Private tutor in Tomball, TX
Education
Savannah State University - Bachelor of Science, Mathematics
Experience
I attended Savannah State University, where I received a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in computer science. For the past five years, I have been tutoring mathematics to a variety of students. In addition to tutoring, I have taught at a public school district for two years. As a tutor, I believe it is important to maintain a positive attitude. A good tutor should encourage and motivate students, helping them develop a positive attitude towards math. It is up to the teacher to help students understand that maintaining a positive attitude is important to achieving academic success. As soon as students understand how important of a role their attitude plays in learning, their chances for success greatly improve.I tutor a wide range of math courses, such as algebra, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, and geometry. I also teach elementary and middle school math. When I am not surrounding myself with numbers, I enjoy playing the piano, exercising, and listening to motivational speeches. Other activities I enjoy are singing, dancing, and cooking.
