I am a skilled Spanish speaker and have an extensive background in Spanish education. I have spent eight years working with students to encourage growth and achievement in language. After I obtained my bachelor's degree in Education with a minor in Spanish from Sam Houston State University, I began tutoring school-age children before and after classes as a certified secondary Spanish teacher. With a thorough grasp of the Spanish language and culture, I have been able to help students gain confidence when speaking a foreign language and I look to provide a comfortable environment where they can hone their language skills while feeling free to communicate in Spanish. My aim in tutoring is to motivate students to achieve their fullest potential and to challenge them when necessary. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy staying active by taking regular Zumba classes. I also like to go swimming when I get the chance.
